2024-2025 Angel Board Application
The Children’s Place’s Angel Board is an auxiliary board of passionate volunteers committed to supporting the agency’s mission through fundraising, advocacy and volunteer projects.
The board formed in 1995 and plays a crucial role in The Children’s Place’s work throughout the year as well as helping to coordinate the annual Party for The Place event.

Childhood restored. We tirelessly pursue, find and celebrate healing for young children in our community who have faced trauma, enabling children to lead happy, healthy, hopeful lives.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Advocacy: Support and attend other agency events as possible and act as an ambassador for The Children’s Place in the community.
- Volunteerism: Participate in and advertise agency volunteer activities as possible, including volunteer opportunities at the agency, events and donation drives.
- Fundraising: Recruit attendees and/or table sponsors/corporate sponsors for Party for The Place. Each Angel is encouraged to secure at least one sponsor or sponsor a table and to actively participate in securing donations for Party for The Place.
Attendance
Attend at least 2/3 of all board meetings. Meetings are typically held on the second monday of the month from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., only during the months August through May. Stay tuned for meeting updates/changes.
Angel Board Dues
Submit Angel Board dues in the amount of $150 annually to assist with costs of Angel Board meetings. Payment can be submitted by check to The Children’s Place, 6401 Rockhill Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131 or through our online donation form.
